    Abstract:

    Fossil molluscan larvae are less facies dependent and have a wider geographic range than their adult counterparts. They are also easily recovered from cores and small samples. With proper documentation, the study of fossil larvae can considerably enhance the biostratigraphic potential of macrofossils.
