Abstract:
A 30-year-old man with AIDS presented with symptoms of fever, epigastric pain and weight loss, together with histological findings of Helicobacter pylori-induced gastritis. His symptoms resolved with treatment, as indicated by the clearing of his H. pylori infection on repeat gastric biopsy. Although uncommon, H. pylori infection can cause severe illness in patients with AIDS.
