[Therapeutic exercise in functional recovery of poststroke patients]
Abstract:
Efficacy of therapeutic exercise (TE) in rehabilitation of poststroke patients has been analysed for 899 patients. TE proved most effective in the first month after stroke in hospital setting (2-3 training sessions a day, at least 31 sessions for a course). TE for 6 months after the end of hospital rehabilitation (each other day or 2 times a week) had a good effect on functional recovery of poststroke patients. Inhibitory training method was more effective than functional method.
