Divorce--a Gordian knot

This paper describes the applications of psychoanalytic and child development theory to the court-ordered visitation study of a 6-year-old child. In this case, the recommendation is for the sole custodial parent to be given the authority to regulate visitation with the noncustodial parent. This recommendation is consistent with the principle of the least detrimental alternative.
