    Background:

    • Paraneoplastic syndromes can manifest with various skin disorders.

    Observation:

    • Two cancer patients presented with paraneoplastic skin disorders: bullous pemphigoid and dermatomyositis.
    • Pre-diagnosis, these patients exhibited lower than normal serum IgM levels.

    Findings:

    • Decreased serum IgM levels were observed in patients with stomach cancer and associated skin conditions.
    • IgM estimation in serum appears valuable for tumor diagnosis.

    Implications:

    • Reduced IgM may serve as an early indicator for detecting tumors, especially stomach cancer.
