Abstract:
When facing a situation of extreme emergency which compromises the breathing tract, time becomes a vital factor along with the permeability and the maintenance of the breathing tract. A Trans-Tracheal Breathing Jet consists of a breathing technique by means of a cricotomy which, thanks to a reduction unit, succeeds in forcing air into a patient to maintain respiration quickly and effectively until a more definitive alternate breathing method is established. The use of this puncture and trans-tracheal jet is considered to be the last method to employ when facing a case of a difficult, or blocked, breathing tract. With the aforementioned method, medical professionals obtain an access way rapidly and with the Manujet system, medical personnel achieve a momentary effective respiration by the patient in need.
