1School of Nursing, Union University, Germantown, Tennessee, USA.
Abstract:
This manuscript seeks to provide an operational definition of hope using the Wilson method and the Norris method for analysis of a concept. The origins, evolution, characteristics, and the scope of hope are identified as well as the theoretical and practical implications for nursing. Sample cases and models are provided to aid in illustrating and delineating the concept.
