  • To assess the feasibility of achieving adequate surgical views for phonomicrosurgery.

  • Phonomicrosurgery was performed on 14 posterior glottic lesions (including early cancers, dysplasia, hemangioma, granulomas).
  • A triangular laryngoscope was placed laterally to the intubation tube, shifting it anterolaterally to expose the posterior glottis.
  • This allowed simultaneous visualization of the vocal fold, lateral, and posterior walls of the glottis.

  • The modified laryngoscope placement successfully exposed the posterior glottis in all 14 cases.

  • All lesions were well-controlled during 6-23 months of follow-up.
