Bevacizumab, an anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF-A) antibody, is used in ophthalmology for neovascular diseases. Despite its widespread use and cost-effectiveness, robust clinical trials are lacking to confirm its efficacy and safety for ocular conditions.
