Summary

Purpose of the Study:

  • To analyze genetic variations in intracellular adhesion molecule (ICAM)-1, platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule (PECAM)-1, L-selectin, and E-selectin in renal transplant recipients.

Main Methods:

  • Retrospective genotyping of 120 renal transplant recipients and 100 controls.
  • Analysis of seven nucleotide polymorphisms using allele-specific PCR-SSP and PCR-RFLP.
  • Categorization of recipients based on acute rejection development within six months post-transplantation.
