Abstract:
In the Cowlishaw collection of the College Library, there is a little book entitled 'Sketches of imposture, deception and credulity'. The anonymous author covers a wide range of subjects including some in which there have been deceptions by members of the medical profession or they themselves have been deceived because of their credibility. Several examples have been selected.
