    Summary

    Active scars can disrupt the motor system, causing pain and limiting mobility. Physical therapists can diagnose and treat these active scars, restoring normal function and relieving symptoms.

    Area of Science:

    • Biomechanical analysis of soft tissue mobility.
    • Pathophysiology of scar tissue and its impact on the musculoskeletal system.

    • Free movement of soft tissues is crucial for overall motor system function.
    • Abnormal or 'active' scars can impede normal movement and cause pain.
