Abstract:
Increasingly more people are using emergency clinics. Different countries report frequent inappropriate use by primarily the socially disadvantaged and ethnic minorities. The present study showed, however, that even though immigrants more frequently complained about pain and psychosocial problems with more urgency than German patients, they apparently did not inappropriately use the emergency facilities any more often than the Germans.
