Abstract:
Thyroid carcinoma is the most common malignancy of the endocrine system. Thyroid cancers generally have a favorable prognosis but require ongoing follow-up. Surgery is the treatment of choice. Thyroglobulin can be a useful tumor marker for disease surveillance. Disease impact on safety of flight is the primary aeromedical concern.
