Summary
Human beta-herpesviruses (beta-HHVs), including cytomegalovirus (CMV) and human herpesvirus 6 (HHV-6), were studied for their role in cervical cancer. HHV-6, especially with CMV, may contribute to cervical cancer development, while CMV and HHV-7 alone likely do not.

- Viral integration of HHV-6 is suggested in severe cases with high viral loads.
