Hyperopia and emergent literacy of young children: pilot study

Summary

Children with uncorrected hyperopia (farsightedness) demonstrate weaker emergent literacy skills, including letter recognition and vocabulary, compared to peers with normal vision. This pilot study highlights potential vision-related challenges in early reading development.
