Fluorodeoxyglucose (18F) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (FDG PET/CT) offers valuable insights beyond conventional imaging for pediatric non-central nervous system (CNS) malignancies. This advanced imaging modality demonstrated superior diagnostic performance and provided additional crucial information in over a third of patient evaluations.
