Corticosteroid injections are less effective for trigger finger in diabetic patients compared to non-diabetic patients. For those with diabetes, injections offered no significant improvement over placebo and did not reduce surgery rates.

- Systemic diabetes complications may reduce the effectiveness of corticosteroid injections for trigger finger.
