Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the efficacy and safety of intimal tear resection and primary aortic anastomosis for DeBakey I and II acute aortic dissection.
  • To assess the impact of this surgical technique on aortic regurgitation.
  • To report short-term and mid-term outcomes in patients undergoing this procedure.

  • Eight patients with DeBakey I (n=5) and II (n=3) acute aortic dissection were treated.
