Roxithromycin inhibits the effector phase of delayed-type hypersensitivity

Roxithromycin suppressed hypersensitivity reactions when given during the effector phase, not the induction phase. This antibiotic reduced T-cell function and survival, suggesting it may alleviate delayed-type hypersensitivity (DTH).
