Visualization of the normal appendix in children by non-contrast MDCT

Non-contrast MDCT scans can visualize the appendix in children, especially those aged 6 and older with sufficient abdominal fat. This imaging technique offers advantages over ultrasound for visualizing the retrocaecal appendix.
