Abstract:
Adult ascariasis is rarely seen outside of gastrointestinal lummen but occasionally there are migration to extrahepatic bile ducts with production of obstructive jaundice and cholangitis. A patient with a six years of intermittent cholangitis is was seen, we found the adult worm in the left hepatic duct requiring hepatic resection. Definitive diagnosis was done by histopathology; surgical findings and a previous ERCP were not conclusive.
