Installation of endosseous oral implants with guided tissue regeneration
1Department of Prosthodontics, University of Freiburg, Germany.
Abstract:
Three case reports demonstrate the principle of guided tissue regeneration for increasing alveolar bone around exposed implant threads. In all three cases there was regeneration of tissue that had a hard, firm consistency and clinically resembled normal bone. A special flap design maximized implant coverage and prevented barrier exposure during healing.
