Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the prevalence of thyroid auto-antibodies in patients with alopecia totalis.

  • Serum samples were collected from 24 patients diagnosed with alopecia totalis.
  • Thyroid auto-antibodies, including anti-thyroglobulin and anti-thyroid peroxidase (anti-microsomal) antibodies, were measured.
