Abstract:
The presence of ameloblastic structures in dentigerous cysts in a 26-year-old female patient and a 42-year old male patient is reported. Their non-invasive growth distinguished the present circumscribed ameloblastic tissue structures from classic ameloblastomas. Enucleation of the cysts resulted in undisturbed healing of the surgical area; none of the ameloblastomas recurred. These cases emphasize the importance of careful pathologic-histological examination of all tissues removed.
