- IL-10+ NK cells significantly suppressed T cell proliferation and the secretion of IL-13 and IFN-gamma in response to allergens/antigens.
- The suppressive effect of IL-10+ NK cells was confirmed to be mediated by secreted IL-10 via IL-10 receptor blockade.
Conclusions:
- A distinct subset of human NK cells possesses regulatory functions.
- These IL-10-secreting NK cells play a role in suppressing antigen-specific T cell responses, potentially mitigating allergic reactions.
