Summary

Crossing challenging coronary artery lesions is difficult. A novel fixed-wire balloon catheter offers a new solution for procedural success in complex stenting cases.

  • The difficulty in traversing a complex lesion with standard angioplasty balloons or stents was noted.

  • An ACE® fixed-wire balloon dilatation catheter was utilized as a 'buddy' device.
  • This approach effectively combined the benefits of multiple techniques, facilitating successful lesion crossing and stent delivery.
