Donations in short supply

Every day, hospitals across the United States discard tons of unused medical supplies and equipment while hospitals and clinics in Third World countries sometimes are forced to reuse gauze on patients. These countries rely on the help of such not-for-profit organizations as Doc to Dock, which collect unused supplies from hospitals across the United States to ship overseas. To set up a supply donation program, contact any of the organizations listed on page 27. You'll most likely be saving a life, not to mention the environment.
