Atomic bomb radiation exposure significantly increased chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) risk in Hiroshima survivors, with a likely threshold between 0.09-0.5 Gy. Acute leukemia thresholds were higher, and chromosome aberrations were observed in survivors.
