Abstract:
There is a tremendous amount of study on common diseases or complex diseases to detect multiple genes and environmental factors or interactive effects to play a role in the development of those diseases. Genetic Epidemiology is a field of research, which focuses on the role of genetic factors and their interaction with environmental factors in the occurrence of disease in human populations. In this article, I overviewed the basics of probability theory and statistical inference based on likelihood function that we need in genetic study.
