Limited research exists on the impact of multi-detector computed tomography (MDCT) in general intensive care unit (ICU) settings.

Purpose of the Study:

To evaluate the impact of multi-detector computed tomography (MDCT) on the treatment of critically ill patients in a general intensive care unit (ICU).

A prospective observational study was conducted in a 12-bed medical-surgical ICU at a university hospital.
The study focused on patients with ICU stays exceeding 48 hours over a 9-month period.
