Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the association between Toll-like receptor-2 (TLR-2) and Toll-like receptor-4 (TLR-4) expression in renal tissue and kidney transplant outcomes.
  • To correlate TLR expression with graft function, rejection, and infections post-transplantation.

Main Methods:

  • Immunohistochemistry was used to detect TLR-2 and TLR-4 expression in 257 protocol biopsies and 108 indication biopsies.
