Abstract:
Cytologic screening was carried out in 4509 outpatients examined using basic endoscopic procedures such as esophagoscopy, gastroscopy, rectocolonoscopy, laryngoscopy, bronchoscopy, hysteroscopy and cystoscopy. Patients showing moderate or severe dysplasia of the epithelium were included into the high cancer risk group which made up 16.9% of the screenees.
