Interferon-alpha (IFN-alpha) generates unique dendritic cells (IFN-DCs) that express CD56 and possess direct anti-tumor immunity. These CD56+ IFN-DCs show enhanced T-cell stimulation and phagocytosis, indicating potential for cancer therapy.
