Background:

Community development is an approach to health promotion.
Primary health care professionals' perspectives on its use are not well understood.

Purpose of the Study:

To explore primary health care professionals' views on community development.
To identify opportunities and barriers to implementing community development in practice.

Participants included health visitors who underwent community development training.
