Summary

Hepatitis C patients on interferon and ribavirin may develop retinopathy with optic nerve head swelling. This case highlights potential visual complications requiring prompt diagnosis and management.

  • Ophthalmic examination revealed severe vision impairment in both eyes.
  • Funduscopy of the right eye showed optic nerve head swelling, dilated tortuous vessels, and intraretinal hemorrhages.

Findings:

  • The patient was undergoing combination therapy with interferon and ribavirin for Hepatitis C.
  • Retinopathy, characterized by optic nerve head swelling and hemorrhages, was observed in the right eye.
