Abstract:
The essential oil of Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae from seven different regions were identified by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) in the present paper. The result indicated that it's easy to find a fingerprint character of 2-methyaminomethyester benzoic acid in the FTIR spectra of essential oil of the Pericarpium Citri Reticulataes collected from Guangdong and Guangxi, but it can't be seen in the FTIR spectra of th e samples from other regions, a nd especially, there is aobvious difference between Xinhui and non-Xinhui regions at 1690 and 1644 cm(-1) in the FTIR spectra. Therefore, the simple, fast and accurate property of FTIR is a good foundation for the identification of Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae using its fingerprint character.
