Abstract:
We review briefly the strategies and processes to identify Ser/Thr protein kinases from Streptomyces spp. and discussed in detail the functions of well studied Ser/Thr protein kinases, such as the AfsR-kinase(AfsK), We used bioinformatic methods to predict transmembrane regions in Ser/Thr protein kinases of S. coelicolor A3(2) and S. avermitilis. The complete sets of Ser/Thr protein kinases from genomes of Streptomyces coelicolor A3(2) and Streptomyces avermitilis MA-4680 were categorized based on domain analyses.
