Mass Annual Single dose DEC administration (MDA) for lymphatic filariasis (LF) elimination initiated in India in 1997.
Pilot studies in Kerala (2000-04) preceded a statewide MDA launch in March 2005 across eleven endemic districts.

To identify factors contributing to the unsatisfactory drug distribution coverage and compliance during MDA in Kerala.
To inform authorities about observed challenges for incorporating remedial measures.

Addressing community concerns and ensuring adequate mobilization time are essential for improving MDA compliance.
