Thyronamines are isozyme-specific substrates of deiodinases

Thyronamines, similar to thyroid hormones, may be synthesized by deiodinases. This study shows deiodinases (Dio1, Dio2, Dio3) metabolize various thyronamines, supporting their role in thyronamine biosynthesis pathways.
