Purpose of the Study:

To identify issues faced by preceptors in their roles.
To gather preceptor feedback on their experiences.
To inform strategies for enhancing the preceptorship model.

A mailed survey was distributed to 86 preceptors.
Preceptors provided written responses detailing their concerns.
Qualitative analysis of written feedback was conducted.

Preceptors reported feeling unprepared for their roles.
A need for increased advance notice regarding preceptorship was identified.
