Abstract:
Because ectopic pregnancy is a frightening and life-threatening situation, the perioperative nurse must be able to communicate quickly and effectively with the patient and all members of the operative team. He or she must be prepared for a number of surgical possibilities or complications. Knowing as much as possible about this condition helps the perioperative nurse anticipate and prepare appropriately.
