Summary

Centrifugal pumps (CP) show improved blood compatibility over roller pumps (RP) during extracorporeal circulation (ECC) in coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) surgery, reducing markers of blood activation. However, patient outcomes remained similar in this study.
