[Preparation of an implant site using orthodontics. Presentation of a clinical case]

Orthodontic movement of soft and hard tissues can facilitate the placement of a dental implant. A missing lower incisor is one of many situations where orthodontic management of the edentulous space prior to surgery can improve implant insertion. Multidisciplinary treatment must be carefully planned before tooth movement is begun in order to ensure the best possible aesthetic and functional outcomes.
