Dermis
The dermis might be considered the "core" of the integumentary system, as distinct from the epidermis and hypodermis. Summary

Elastofibroma dorsi is a rare benign pseudotumor often mistaken for malignancy. Surgical excision is effective for symptomatic cases with no reported recurrences.
