Abstract:
Effects of antineoplastic substances on the human organism are discussed. Stress is laid on the hazards to the health personnel occupationally exposed to cytostatics when preparing and diluting them and when caring for the patients under cytostatic treatment. The hazards are particularly great when cytostatics are handled inappropriately. Possibilities of and guidelines for safe handling of these substances without hazards to the health of the personnel are presented.
