Subretinal fluid endothelin-1 (ET-1) levels negatively correlate with visual acuity (VA) in patients with rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RD). Higher ET-1 levels, especially with proliferative vitreoretinopathy (PVR), indicate poorer visual outcomes post-surgery.
