Diffusion-weighted imaging for predicting new compression fractures following percutaneous vertebroplasty

New compression fractures after percutaneous vertebroplasty (PVP) may be predicted by apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) measurements. Higher preoperative ADC values in adjacent vertebral bodies indicate an increased risk of subsequent fractures.
