Background:

  • A 30-year-old man sustained facial fractures from a 2-meter fall.
  • Initial surgical intervention for maxillary sinus and orbital fractures had a favorable outcome.

Observation:

  • Uncontrolled epistaxis occurred approximately 60 days after the initial injury.

  • Autopsy revealed a linear fracture of the left sella turcica.
