Cardiovascular risks of COX inhibition: current perspectives

Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), including COX-2 selective ones, carry a moderately increased risk of cardiovascular events. This finding applies to both traditional and newer NSAID formulations.
